The Sillian – Thurntaler ski center is the ideal ski area for families and connoisseurs. With wide, perfectly groomed pistes, modern lifts and cozy huts, it offers everything a winter sports enthusiast’s heart desires.

Cross-country skiing in Sillian
Cross-country skiers will find an extensive network of around 140 kilometers of perfectly groomed trails in the area around Sillian. A particular highlight is the “International Trail”, which leads from Cortina to Lienz and runs directly through Sillian.
he trails in the Tyrolean Gailtal valley between Kartitsch and Untertilliach are particularly impressive – anyone who has ever skied here will hardly find a better place for cross-country skiing.
Another highlight for cross-country skiers and biathlon fans is the modern cross-country skiing and biathlon center in Obertilliach.
Sledging
Tobogganing on the Leckfeldalm is winter fun for the whole family! The idyllic alpine pasture above Sillian is not only a popular destination for winter hikers, but also the starting point for a speedy toboggan ride down into the valley.
After a leisurely ascent – on foot or by shuttle – a rustic hut awaits you at the Leckfeldalm, where you can fortify yourself with regional delicacies. Afterwards, you can toboggan back down to the valley on the perfectly groomed natural toboggan run.
